Does a merchant have any chance to win a chargeback dispute if the transaction was processed 5 months after the credit card was initially authorized if chargeback reason code 12.1 (Presentment) is claimed by issuing bank? Merchant has full set of documentation for the original sale transaction (electronic receipt), description of products sold, signature and etc. The late presentment was caused by an inadvertent removal of an auto batch setting on the Clover POS system. The POS setting change may have been caused by a power outage. Please advise on a chargeback rebuttal strategy.
